By taking planning back to its roots and applying a human-centric approach to the built environment we can improve economic performance, public health and heal the planet.
The firm's view is that centres are essential places of high economic and social exchange, and should be culturally rooted in the hearts of its people.
Our Focus
Urbacity's work is focused on multi-level analysis of the relationships between activities, buildings, public infrastructure and people. A starting point for its work is often economic analysis but quickly transitions to evaluating the influence of the qualities and characteristics of place on economic and social performance, and public health.
Michael Cullen, Founder
Michael is an urban planner & urban economist specialising in the design and planning of integrated, mixed-use towns and villages and their contributory suburbs. His work seeks to bring a spatial and built form logic to econometric analysis so that places can grow with strong cultural meaning and enhanced levels of economic and social exchange.
